Who we are

Super Handymen Maintenance and Repair Ltd., a company incorporated in British Columbia, incorporation number BC1568508, operating as Super Handymen.

Estimates

Estimates given by photo or on site are free and carry no obligation. An estimate is our honest expectation based on what we could see at the time. If opening up the work reveals something materially different, we stop, photograph it, and get your agreement before any additional work or cost.

Scope of work

We are a handyman service, not a licensed electrical, gas, plumbing or roofing contractor. We do not perform gas work, new electrical circuits or panel work, plumbing that requires a permit or is inside a wall, full roof replacement, asbestos or mould remediation, or structural work. Where a job requires a licensed trade we will tell you and decline the work.

Residential only

Our insurance covers residential work. We do not take on commercial premises or strata common-area contracts.

Rates

Our minimum call-out is $50 and our hourly rate is $50–$100 depending on the work, access and tools required. Materials and parts are charged at cost. If a job takes less time than quoted, you pay for the time it actually took.

Payment

Payment is due on completion by e-transfer or cash. An invoice is issued by the company for every job.

Client-supplied materials

We are happy to install fixtures and hardware you have bought. We cannot warrant the item itself, only our installation of it, and we will tell you before we start if we think a part is not suitable.

Access and site conditions

Please make sure we can reach the work area, and tell us in advance about building access rules, elevator bookings, parking restrictions, pets and any known hazard. Time spent waiting for access is chargeable.

Cancellation

Please give as much notice as you can. Cancellations on the day may be charged the minimum call-out where we have already travelled or turned down other work.

Our work

If something we installed or repaired fails because of our workmanship, tell us and we will come back and put it right. This does not extend to pre-existing conditions, normal wear, or a product that failed on its own.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
