One wide shot so we can see the whole run
Context tells us access, height and how much of it there is — which is most of the price.
One close-up of the actual damage
Close up we can usually tell whether it is a patch or something bigger behind it.
Anything you have already opened up
If you have lifted a board or pulled a cover, photograph that too. It saves an entire visit.
Tips
How to make the quote accurate
- Turn a light on, or use flash. Dark photos are the number one reason we have to ask for a second one.
- Put something in frame for scale — a hand, a phone, a tape measure.
- Tell us the material if you know it: drywall or plaster, laminate or hardwood, drywall or concrete wall.
- If it is a list of jobs, one photo each is fine. Numbered is even better.
- Mention your city and which floor. Third-floor walk-up and ground-floor townhouse are different jobs.
What happens next
We reply with a price or a range, and what would change it. If the photos are not enough to be honest about the number, we will say that and come look — still free. If you decide not to go ahead, that is the end of it. We do not follow up repeatedly and we do not pass your details on.
