Out of scope
What we will turn down.
A handyman who says yes to everything is a problem waiting to happen. Here is the line, published up front, so nobody finds out halfway through a job.
Gas work of any kind
Licensed gas fitter only. No exceptions.
New electrical circuits, panel work or rewiring
A licensed electrical contractor is required in BC. We do permit-exempt like-for-like fixture swaps and nothing beyond that.
Plumbing that needs a permit or lives inside a wall
We work at fixture level. Hot water tanks, main lines and in-wall rough-in need a licensed plumber.
Full roof tear-off and replacement
We repair sections, flashing, vents and gutters. A re-roof is a different trade.
Commercial and strata common-area work
Our insurance covers residential work, so we stay inside it.
Asbestos, mould remediation and structural work
These need certified specialists and, in some cases, an engineer.
When your job lands on this list, we will tell you on the phone and point you at the right trade. It costs us a booking and saves you a problem.
What it costs
The same numbers on every job.
Materials and parts are charged at cost. We will tell you the expected total before we start, and if the job turns out to be smaller than quoted you pay for the smaller job.
