What we do

Roof & Exterior

Gutter cleaning, leak inspection, shingle and fascia repair — the outside work that stops inside damage.

How we work

Careful work. Clear finish.

On the wet coast, most interior water damage starts outside and cheap. A gutter packed with fir needles overflows behind the fascia; one lifted shingle lets water track along the sheathing for a season before it shows on a ceiling. We clean, inspect and repair the exterior so it stays out there.

What this covers

  • Gutter and downspout cleaning, including debris and nest removal
  • Gutter re-securing, re-sloping and leak sealing
  • Roof leak inspection and photo report
  • Asphalt shingle repair and replacement of damaged sections
  • Roof vent, flashing and boot repair
  • Fascia and soffit repair
  • Deck and fence repair, board replacement, sanding and staining
  • Exterior trim repair and repainting

When people usually call us

  • Water sheeting over the edge of the gutter instead of running to the downspout
  • Plants growing out of the gutter — a very reliable sign it is full
  • Stains running down the fascia board or the siding under the gutter line
  • Shingle granules collecting at the bottom of the downspout
  • A deck board that flexes when you step on it, or a fence panel leaning after a windstorm

What it costs

Gutter cleaning on a typical two-storey house is a half-day job. Repairs are quoted after inspection — we photograph what we find on the roof and send it to you before doing anything beyond the agreed scope, so you are never surprised by an invoice.

Questions we get asked

How often should gutters be cleaned in Metro Vancouver?

Twice a year if you have conifers overhanging the roof — late autumn once the needles have dropped, and again in spring. Once a year in late autumn is enough for an open lot with no big trees.

Do you work on the roof safely?

Yes. We use fall protection on pitched roofs. If a roof is too steep, too brittle or too high to work safely, we will say so and recommend a roofing contractor instead of taking the risk.

Do you replace whole roofs?

No. We do repairs, sections, flashing and vents. A full tear-off and re-roof is a different trade with different permitting, and we will refer you rather than take it on.
