How we work

A door that will not latch is almost never a lock problem — it is a hinge, a frame or a strike plate problem, and swapping the lock fixes nothing. We diagnose the actual cause, adjust or rehang the door, and install locks and hardware including keypad and smart deadbolts.

What it costs

Adjustments, hinge repairs and lock swaps are typically well under two hours. Hanging a new pre-hung door takes longer because the frame has to be shimmed plumb — an out-of-square opening is what turns a two-hour job into a four-hour one.

Questions we get asked

My door will not close. Do I need a new door?

Almost never. In most cases it is settling — the frame has moved and the latch no longer lines up with the strike. That is an adjustment, not a replacement, and we will always try the cheap fix first.

Can you install a smart lock I already bought?

Yes. We install it, check that it fits your door thickness and backset, align the strike so the bolt throws fully, and set up the first codes with you.

Can you rekey locks?

We replace locksets and install new hardware. For rekeying existing cylinders to a single key you want a locksmith.
